After all this waiting, we finally have some of the GB8 Strides from Fighter's Collection 2017 shown to us. First of all we have the Shadow Paladin Stride, 'Dark Knight, Irgun Welt'. He has “[ACT](VC)[1/Turn] Generation Break 8:[Counter Blast (1)] Choose up to five of your rear-guards, and retire them. Search your deck for up to the same number of grade 1 or less cards as the number of units that were retired, call them to separate (RC), and they get [Power]+15000 until end of turn. Choose up to the same number of your opponent's rear-guards as the number of units that were called, and retire them. Shuffle your deck.” The Retire effect is great, but that annoying Resist will get in the way. The only problem with the superior calling ability, is you might not have too many Grade 1s in the deck by the time you get this out. Though this will be great for a Legion deck, as you will be able to put Grade 1s back in the deck. Still, even if you can't get five new units out, the +15000 Power makes up for it.
I'm not going to hide this any longer, the Dimension' Police Stride is ridiculous. If 'Daimax' wasn't enough, now we have Dimensional Robo Supreme Commander, Ultimate Daiking'. His skill is “[AUTO](VC) Generation Break 8:When this unit attacks a vanguard, this unit gets [Power]+10000/[Critical]+1 for each of your rear-guards until end of that battle. At the end of that battle, if this unit's [Power] is 80000 or greater, all of your rear-guards get [Power]+10000 for each of this unit's [Critical] until end of turn.” The 80k is very easy to get if you have the five rear-guards, and it means that your rear-guard columns will be getting +120k Power each. Even more if you get any Critical Triggers and give them to your Vanguard. This is incredibly strong. If your opponent doesn't have Perfect Guards then it is very unlikely that they'll be able to Guard the rear-guards. This card's bane is 'Shirayuki', as, if 'Shirayuki' reduces 'Daiking's' Power to under 80k, then 'Daiking's' rear-guards won't be getting any extra Power. Though the amount of 'Shirayuki' players these days is very slim.
'Rampage Evil Rogue, Hellhard Eight' is Spike Brother's GR for the set. His skill is “[AUTO](VC) Generation Break 8:When your unit attacks, choose one of your units, until end of turn, it gets [Power]+10000, and "[AUTO](RC):[Choose a card from your hand, put this unit and the chosen card into your soul] At the end of the battle that this unit attacked or boosted, you may pay the cost. If you do, search your deck for up to one card, call it to an open (RC), and shuffle your deck.".” This skill works incredibly well with 'Mayhem Tiger's' Guard Break ability and 'Frog Raider's' restanding ability. I think it's safe to say that this will guarantee you a final turn, as long as 'Darkface' isn't on the other side Resting your rear-guards as they come out. Spikes tend to want to get their big combos out earlier than this though, so if you can push them early to force them to use their weaker combos in a desperate attempt to win, then you should be fine as long as you can survive the smaller combo turn.
'Coffin of Absolute Zero, Rutland Vitrei' is the Stride for Dark Irregulars. He has the simple skill of “[CONT](VC) Generation Break 8:All units in your front row get [Power]+13000/[Critical]+1 for every thirteen cards in your soul.” It's unlikely that you will be getting to 26 Soul, but 13 should be enough when you have the likes of 'Doppel Vampir' for the Guard Restrict, and 'Enigmatic Assassin' to give you 5 attacks with at least 2 Critical on every unit.
Lastly we have the missing G Guardian from last week, 'Healing True Liberator, Ellise'. Her skill is “[AUTO] Generation Break 1:[Counter Blast (1) & Choose a face down G guardian from your G zone, and turn it face up] When this unit is placed on (GC), you may pay the cost. If you do, look at two cards from the top of your deck, call a card to (GC), until end of that battle, it gets "[AUTO](GC):When an attack did not hit, you may move this unit to (RC).", and put a card on the bottom of your deck.” This won't activate any on-place abilities for the new rear-guard due to the wording. Though this can allow for good set up next turn, or just another interceptor, giving you a better Shield value for the skill.
