CFV Weekly Update 28th April, 2017

This week we have more of the GRs from Fighter's Collection, as well as a fully revealed GR from G-BT11 for Royal Paladin.

'Ambush Demon Stealth Dragon, Mandala Ryu-Ou' is the Murakumo GR for Fighter's Collection 2017. He has “[ACT](VC)[1/Turn] Generation Break 8:[Choose two cards from your drop zone, and return them to your deck] Search your deck for up to two cards with the same card name as this unit, call them to separate (RC), and until end of turn, they get "Shadowstitch-[AUTO](RC):[Choose three cards from your hand, and discard them] At the end of the battle that your vanguard attacked a vanguard, if that attack did not hit, you may pay the cost. If you do, move this [Stand] unit to your (VC).". Shuffle your deck.” This is an interesting card and has a few possibilities. If you are using 'Aragoto Spark', then you can get in extra attacks through his cloning ability, as well any extra Power you may gain from his Drive Check ability. If you are using Legion you can Ride Grade 2s which will deny your opponent from Striding next turn. Do note that any Triggers you get can be given to the rear-guards that get moved onto your VC and they will keep their power and Criticals.

'Chief Deity of the Heavens, Amaterasu' is Oracle Think Tank's Stride, and she has “[ACT](VC)[1/Turn] Generation Break 8:[Counter Blast (1)] Look at five cards from the top of your deck, put up to three cards from among them into your hand, and put each of the rest on the top or bottom of your deck in any order. Until end of turn, this unit gets "[AUTO](VC) Oracle:When your drive check reveals a trigger unit, all the units in your front row get [Power]+5000 until end of turn.". This is not the greatest GR in the world, but it does mean if you get a trigger then it's +5000 to two units and +10000 to another.” Drawing 3 doesn't add too much that late in the game, and it would have made a big difference if it was to look at the top 6 rather than 5. Either way, if you get lucky, this card can grant you a lot of Power, if you're not lucky then this card may at least get you to deck out before your opponent can finish you.

'Genesis Machine Deity, Ortho Wilder' for Link Joker is around to fix some of Link Joker's problems, rather than being a flexible card. His skill is “[ACT](VC)[1/Turn] Generation Break 8:[Counter Blast (1) & Choose two cards from your hand, and discard them] For each card in your opponent's damage zone, choose one of your opponent's open (RC), your opponent chooses a card from his or her hand, and puts it on that (RC) face down as a locked card.” So he doesn't gain any Power but he does reduce your opponent's Shield, which achieves the same goal. This works well against things like Murakumo, Pale Moon, Granblue, Shadow Paladin, Tachikaze, and anything else that may get rid of their rear-guards at the end of the turn.

'Immortality Professor, Sahasrara Veera' for great nature is a card I missed out last week so I shall talk about it now. He has “[ACT](VC) Generation Break 8:[Choose two cards from your hand, and discard them] Choose up to five of your rear-guards, until end of turn, they get [Power]+10000, and "[AUTO](RC):At the end of your turn, retire this unit.", and if the number of cards in your hand is one or less, this unit gets [Power]+40000/[Critical]+1.” Now you can use this multiple times, and if you have 'Taping Cat' to give you an extra draw, you can give your Vanguard +80000 Power and +2 Critical. 'Crayon Tiger' also becomes extremely useful as being able to restand such buffed up units will put your opponent in a tight spot.

'Destruction Tyrant, Volcaine Tyranno' is the GR for Tachikaze, and has “[AUTO](VC):Engorge and [AUTO](VC) Generation Break 8:When your rear-guard is retired, choose up to one of your opponent's rear-guards, retire it, choose one of your rear-guards, and until end of turn, that unit and this unit get [Power]+10000.” So you can gain this Power no matter how that unit was Retired, so even if your opponent manages to Retire your units on your turn, you will lose out a lot less than you normally would. It works well with 'Gaia' as you will be gaining Power while getting your rear-guards back which allows for some great engorge combos.

'Rikudo Stealth Dragon, Rokushikirakan' for Nubatama will be an annoying one to go against. It has “[AUTO](VC) Generation Break 8:When your opponent's unit is placed on (GC) from hand, you may pay Counter Blast (1) or Soul Blast (1). If you do, your opponent chooses two cards from his or her hand, and discards them.” This is very evil but it does not effect G Guardians as they are not used from hand. As the person using this Stride will have priority as it's their turn, be sure not to us a Perfect Guard when you only have 2 other cards in hand, as they can discard those cards before you do. Unless you are running 'Alessia' for Gold Paladin or 'Regius' for Royal Paladin.

'Golden Knight of Links, Celtis Winner' is the GB8 for Gold Paladin. He has “[AUTO](VC) Generation Break 8 Unite (Active if you have called two or more units to (RC) or (GC) during this turn):When this unit attacks, choose up to four of your rear-guards, and until end of turn, they get "[AUTO](RC):At the end of the battle that this unit attacked or boosted, look at two cards from the top of your deck, call one card to (RC) from among them, it gets [Power]+5000 until end of turn, and put one card on the bottom of your deck.".” This allows for a great multiattack turn. You can attack with unboosted rear-guards so you can max out the amount of attacks you get. It also gives you a great chance to get out 'Pellinore' for an extra Vanguard attack.

Lastly for the Fighter's collection cards of this week, we have 'Festal Finale, Final Priscila' for Bermuda Triangle. Her skill is “[AUTO](VC) Generation Break 8:[Choose a card from your hand, and discard it] At the end of the battle that this unit attacked a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, return all of your rear-guards to your hand, choose up to five cards from your hand, call them to separate (RC), and they get [Power]+5000 until end of turn.” This allows for a lot of multiattacks, especially with the 'Spica' Grade 2 and 3. It also allows your whole field get activate their on-harmony skills again.

Lastly we have our first GR from G-BT11, 'Holy Divine Knight, Gancelot Peace Saver' for Royal Paladin. He has the skills of “[AUTO](VC):When this unit attacks, if you have a heart card with "Alfred" or "Blaster" in its card name, Counter Charge (1), until end of that battle, this unit gets drive+1, and then, if you have a face up card in your G zone, this unit gets [Critical]+1. and also [CONT](G Zone):During your turn, if this unit is face up, all of your rear-guards with "Blaster Blade" in its card name get "[CONT](RC):Resist".” This is incredibly powerful. Not only do you get all of this for free, but the Counter Charge makes 'Exceed's' search free, allowing you to get a your key card, 'Blaster Blade', onto the field, while allowing it to have Resist for the rest of the game. He also gets the 4 Drive Checks first Stride, and if you G Guardian before Striding, then you can get the critical first Stride too. There's just so many good things with this card that many people will be using this at 4. The 'Blaster' deck was already doing really well in tournaments and I can imagine this card has just helped them top a lot more often.
