CFV Weekly Update 24th March, 2017

We have some more Fighter's Collection and Legend Deck cards, as well as a little bit of info for the next Trial Deck which is for Nubatama.

'Divine Knight King, Alfred Holy' is a second Stride for the Aichi Legend Deck. He has “[ACT](VC)[1/Turn] Generation Break 2:[Counter Blast (1) & Choose a face down card with the same card name as this unit from your G zone, and turn it face up & Choose a card from your hand, and discard it] If you have a heart card with "Alfred" or "Blaster" in its card name, choose one of your rear-guards with "Blaster Blade" in its card name, until end of turn, it gets [Power]+3000, and "[CONT](RC):This unit performs "Twin Drive!!" for its first battle during this turn.".” People are quick to say how crazy this card is, but 'Shibarakku Buster' for Murakumo has had a similar skill, and he's been around for a while now. It is definitely a good skill and I would definitely use it in an 'Alfred' or 'Blaster' deck, but it's not as crazy as some people think. Still, it's for cards with 'Blaster Blade' in the name so you can choose one of several cards to use this skill on. I think 'Blaster Blade Exceed' would be the best choice as the +3000 Power would put him at 14000, then with a 7k Boost it would become a nice 21k attack which is always a great number to be on.

'Star Hope Trumpeter' is a Grade 2 with the same skill that we saw from the 'Marron' in this set. If you can't remember what that was then it is “[AUTO] Generation Break 1:[Counter Blast (1)] When this unit is placed on (RC) from your hand, if you have a vanguard with "Alfred" or "Blaster" in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, search your deck for up to one card, call it to (RC), it gets [Power]+3000 until end of turn, and shuffle your deck.” This is generally a really nice card, and calling 'Benon' can then score you a whole new column. I really like how you can search for any Grade making her a very flexible card.

For the new Nubtama Trial Deck, the new 'Shiranui' grade 3 has been semi shown. His new name is 'Demon Stealth Dragon, Shiranui Oboro'. We only have one of his skills shown to us right now. The skill is “[AUTO](VC):At the beginning of your ride phase, you may choose a card from your opponent's drop zone. If you do, your opponent calls that card to (RC), and at the end of that turn, retires that unit.” Then on the black box it says "Shihai", which has been translated as "Domination". Domination is going to be a new keyword for Nubatama, even though they already had Afterimage, which begs the question: will all the other Clans be getting a second keyword in the near future. Perhaps this is the reason why the new strides for the Fighter's Collection are taking so long to get announced, as they may all have a new keyword. We currently don't know what Dominiation does, but people think because of how Shiranui's first skill works that would involve taking control of one of your opponent's rear-guards for a turn, or it could be something as simple as a skill activating due to your opponent having less cards in hand as you.

A little extra note for this Trial Deck, the stride fodder, 'Stealth Beast, Katarigitsune', will be reprinted as a 4-of in this deck. He also comes with new artwork. I prefer the old art as it looks more intimidating, which I feel suits the theme of Nubatama more, but I've heard a lot of people like the new art so maybe it's just me.

Continuing on with the Nubatama news, we have the G Guardian from the Fighter's Collection, 'Jinx Stealth Fiend, Zashikihime'. “[AUTO] Generation Break 1:[Choose a face down G guardian from your G zone, and turn it face up] When this unit is placed on (GC), you may pay the cost. If you do, your opponent chooses a card from his or her hand, and may discard it. If he or she does not discard, this unit gets [Shield]+20000 until end of that battle.” So she can go up to a really nice 35000 Shield, but it does let your opponent decide which is the problem. It works well against things that struggle to keep a hand like Brave, Aqua Force, and on huge Spike Brother combo turns, but unless you can try and get your opponent's hand down in other ways, they will be happy to discard one to make you Guard for more.

'Lucky Smile, Zashikihime' is the effect Heal Trigger and she will allow you to discard one grade 1 or less when G Guarding with the other 'Zashikihime' to draw 1.

Then the second G Guardian for this week is 'Oceanic Transformation, Atlantis Dolphin' for Dimension Police. It has “[AUTO] Generation Break 1:[Choose a face down G guardian from your G zone, and turn it face up] When this unit is placed on (GC) during the battle that your opponent's vanguard attacked, you may pay the cost. If you do, this unit gets [Shield]+5000 for each of your rear-guards until end of that battle. If this unit's [Shield] is 30000 or greater, Counter Charge (1)/Soul Charge (1).” You only need 3 rear-guards to get the Charging skills which is easy and very useful for Dimension Police. It's very surprising that this doesn't have any cost other than the G Guardian flip for such a strong card. So if you can, try to get rid of Dimension Police's field during the main phase to prevent this unit from getting too much of a high Shield.

And 'Saving Dolphin' is the effect Heal for Dimension Police with the Soul Blast 1 to Counter Charge 1, so even more Counter Charging.

And lastly we have some G BT11 news, though we don't have any skills announced, many of the artworks have been shown. On the banner we can see 'Chrono' and 'Kazumi' standing in front of a new Nubatama unit, as well as to the side we can see new forms of 'Mystery Flare Dragon', 'Gancelot', 'Scharhrot', and 'Blademaster', as well as a completely new Genesis unit. Then in the next image we can see better images for the Genesis unit, the Nubatama unit, and also a new Kagero unit. These three will most likely be used as the main Strides for the members of Team Diffrider in the anime. Then in the last image we can see better images for the 'Gancelot', 'Scharhrot', and 'Mystery Flare cards'.
